Members of the Westchester County Police PBA proudly supported the Intrepid Fallen Heroes benefit golf outing. The goal was to help support the families of troops who will not return home. A substantial sum was raised and a good time was had by all.
The Westchester County Police PBA proudly supported the "Betty's Fight Against Liver Disease Walk" organized by Betty's Believers. All proceeds to benefit the American Liver Foundation, Greater New York Chapter
On March 24, 2004, Westchester County law enforcement lost a dedicated member and the lives of his family have been forever changed. They need our help and support. Westchester County Department of Public Safety Detective Bryan “Woody” Woodruff, 41, admirably battled his debilitating illness while continuing to love his wife Maria and 7 year old son Corey, his work with the Department especially with the Aviation Unit, his friends and most importantly remained hopeful that his condition would improve.
Not wanting to burden others with his illness and hardships, Woody resisted the idea of a 10-13 Benefit to help support his family and growing medical expenses, but as his condition worsened, he gave in, and a 10-13 has been planned for Sunday, April 25 at Dooley Mac’s in White Plains starting at 5pm.
Sadly, Woody’s condition worsened and he passed away a month prior to an opportunity to see first hand the generosity, support and friendship that unites our brothers and sisters in law enforcement and all the emergency services that work together to answer the public’s call.
Woody, a 31 year resident of Bedford Hills, United States Navy Veteran, Westchester County Detectives Association member, Airborne Law Enforcement Association Member, and member of the Blue Knights, leaves behind his wife Maria and 7 year old son Corey. Woody was 8 months shy of retirement so his family will not be receiving long term benefits. Maria and Corey could use our help and support to defray accumulated medical expenses and to provide some financial support for their future without a husband… and a Father.
